Christmas Tin

I joined a Vintage Christmas Altoid Tin swap over on Craftster.org
I was partnered with the brilliant Killam_Creative and this is what I came up with for her.

The husband cut a hole in the lid with the Dremel and I used strips of balsa to build the little window.

The lights, tin, garland around the outside, the tree behind Santa and the toys in front of him and the star on the top of the tree all came from AlphaStamps.com. Everything else I found in my stash.

'Tis the Season...already!?

The leftovers have all been put away, which means my denial of the fact that Christmas is creeping up on us has done no good yet again. There is even some snow showers in our forecast for later this week. It was almost 70 degrees yesterday! I'm so not ready for this.

But, because I can't fight the inevitable, these are some little ornaments I made for a swap on the AlphaStamps Yahoo Group. I love the little Brownie stamps. Their chicken legs and big bellies crack me up.

(AlphaStamps has a great sale going on right now with some awesome giveaways!)

Halloween!

These are some things I whipped up for AlphaStamps. I'm not sure which is my favorite, but I'm leaning towards the hat.

Sacred Heart Shrine

AlphaStamps sells these wonderful little scared heart shrines. They've got several styles and at the moment, this is my favorite. I took some cheapy craft paint and a stylus and went to town making dots. Its kind of reminds me of oaxacan wood carvings.

Maybe I'll try adding some metal to the one with the wings next!

The advent calendar I made for AlphaStamps is in a contest. Please go vote if you've got the Twitter thing. (I have to admit I don't know how Twitter works with the @ and # things. Yes, its kind of embarrassing)

Garden Fairy Swap on Alphastamps.com

These were created for the Garden Fairy swap on AlphaStamps.com. Pretty much everything I used can be found there.

Tiny Little Tin

My pal Kristin & I like to do little weekend swaps every now and then. We come up with an idea on Friday and have to have the finished item in the mail on Monday. This is our most recent one. It started as a mint tin, not unlike an altoid tin, but smaller. Much smaller. The overall size is 2 3/8 by about 1 5/8.

All of the paper I used came from the Graphic45 "Le Cirque" line.

VIP Swap

As usual, I made these items for a swap on Craftster. Most of my work is created either for swaps or for Alpha Stamps design team. I tend to have trouble with creating without a specific reason why.

Anyway...the point of this swap was to create items for the recipient to know how oh, so very important they are.

A VIP bunting to so everyone can see how important she is.

A close up of one of the pennants

An important party hat.

A little bird to do her bidding.

The papers used are all by Graphic45 and the glitter is Distress Stickles. Pretty much everything I used can be found on AlphaStamps.com

Steampunk Advent Calendar

This is the steampunk advent calendar I came up with for the AlphaStamps Design Team, using Graphic45 "Steampunk Debutante" paper and a billion bits and pieces from Alpha (including a bunch of Tim Holtz products). I have to say this was the most labor intensive thing I've done to day and I think its my favorite as well.

In the second picture you can see the side of the box. I used a dimensional paint to create the soldered seams and rivets to beef up the steampunkiness of it. The overall size is about 12 inches by 12 inches and each little drawer is right around 2x2.

Steampunk Debutante

I made some items for the AlphaStamps Design Team using Graphic45's Steampunk Debutante paper and a ton of metal bit and pieces from AlphaStamps.

The roses on the first piece were made with the G45 paper. They were a blast make and I really love out they turned out.

Angel Slide Mailer

This is a slide mailer I made for the Alpha Stamps Design team. I love how the gold leaf covered the mailer. It gave it a great antique look.

Altered Canvas

This is an altered canvas I made as a birthday gift. Its 6x6 and about 1.5 inches deep so it will stand upright by itself.
